The Little Trine That Could

A few years ago I woke up to this guy right outside my window.

I get to keep playing my Rook! My husband, who is obviously the best person ever, is letting my use his laptop to get through the parts that my computer for some reason doesn't like!

I really really love my Rook, but at this point I'm considering uninstalling and playing it on PS5 instead.... even though I generally hate playing on console.

I rebuilt my computer right before the game came out, so it is more than capable of running it. Everything else runs great on Ultra with no problem.

Because of this issue I never once got to finish the game. I've done every single thing people said to do to fix it, but nothing works.

Got back into playing Veilguard again, but apparently the DirectX crash is still an issue. Made it just fine until Weisshaupt, with just a few crashes here and there. But, just like when the game came out, it's impossible from there. Crash within 10 seconds. I HATE it. I just want to play!!!!

People who say "just go somewhere else" are clueless. Our case was the easiest, a family visa when we got married, but it's still a long and EXPENSIVE process. He's been here since 2019, and it's still ongoing. Not to mention the part about uprooting your entire life, and leaving everything behind.

Easily Veilguard. Even with a freshly upgraded computer it kept crashing. For a while I couldn't make it more that 5 minutes without it going down again. Which is annoying, because I really like the game. Haven't tried in a while though, so maybe I'll give it another shot. See if I can finish it now

Clearly these people have no idea how this works. Unlike me. I play The Sims. I know things. A boy means the mom ate carrots and listened to alternative music. A girl means strawberries and pop. Obviously.

I just realized that the wedding is next weekend. For some reason I thought I had another full week to get shit done. So now I'm spending the evening hyperventilating instead of actually... you know... getting shit done.

YES PLEASE! My (half) bachelor's degree is in Norse Studies. One of my tattoos has runes in it. I got it when I was literally studying runology at the University in Oslo, but I KNOW that some people will see it and get the wrong idea. The assfaces don't get to fucking steal my cultural heritage.
