I’m thrilled to receive this ceramic golem, part of @maeviuslynn.bsky.social’s magick art. Instead of glaze, it’s treated with iron oxide to preserve its earthy appearance…except for a dab of glaze over the heart, recalling the anahata chakra and pelican.

Shelley Lake is home to a nesting pair of bald eagles—Raleigh and Shelley—and we luckily saw one of them today. We watched them feeding their eaglet(s), but couldn’t see the babies.

It’s a beautiful weekend and turtles are everywhere sunning themselves.

Many of these terms mean different things to different people or contexts. What makes a religion “mainstream”? What is a “cult”? Is there a difference between them? Not all rituals are to “feel good about yourself.” Again, it depends on what you mean by ritual (I share a few definitions in my book).

Likewise! What a great event the Between the Worlds / Sacred Space conference was / is!

It was great to meet some fellow authors I’ve known for a while online but hadn’t met in person yet!
