Currently reading (book #4): ARC of Smash or Pass by Birdie Shae! This is one of my most anticipated reads of 2026 as I've seen the author talk about this book for nearly a year on tiktok/ig! It's a YA sapphic volleyball romance with autism rep! This releases on May 12th! Also the cover is GORGEOUS!
Cayleen is an autistic writing instructor who hates ABA but loves ABBA. She doesn’t believe autism is a superpower. But a lightning strike changes her life, giving her a superpower—with boogie. “Putting a Bee in her Bonnet” is in Speculative Shorts: Stories that fell out of my brain! #BookSky

As for the very gay book nonsense HI I'M AK, I WRITE VERY GAY BOOKS 😁
Inheritance: urban fantasy, disaster bisexuals, trauma
Charlie Hart: spy thriller, crime gals, nukes
Tooth & Claw: paranormal romance, bloodloss, London innit
I hope that answers the question 😁
Only a couple more days until everyone gets to know what this is called AND what the cover looks like! I'm excited to share it with you all! 💙📚

Books are included if they are about or have a minimum of one chapter related to autism, or have autistic main characters. Each book has at least one autistic author or contributor. Some books are written by both autistic and non-autistic people, therefore not all authors will be autistic.
Note: These are the books I am aware of that have been published in December 2025. I have not read every book and inclusion is not endorsement.
Know of a book I've missed? Add it below!
Glimmer in the Dark by @cozydubois.bsky.social
Moonshadow by @bethcohenwrites.bsky.social
Might Cry Later by Kay Kerr (Young adult)
Moojag and the Sloth Guardians by N.E. McMorran (Middle grade)

Wonderful, thank you! I will keep an eye out to share again when it's out.
Hi Ruth, you don't happen to know if this has been published yet do you? The publishers website says published in December but also still says coming soon and available for pre-order. I'm preparing a post about books published in December and wondering whether to include this or hold off. Thank you!
FYI, if you like queer & neurodivergent led, friendship centred epic fantasy, all four of my books are 50% off in the Smashwords Sale, until Jan 1st.
(And they're DRM free 😉.)

Ok, The Space Ace of Mangleby Flat is now available at Kobo, Barnes and Noble, Apple, etc. etc.
I also put a new cover on it. Does it now look less like a space opera? We'll see!
(Space Ace is asexual terminology, a bit like how Woodworking is trans terminology, nothing to do with woodwork.)

Really to happy to hear from the publisher today that our book on inclusive, neurodiversity-affirmative education is a "hot new release" in education, according to Amazon:
www.amazon.co.uk/gp/new-relea...
Flyer attached for a discount if you buy direct from the publisher - valid through January.
That is very kind but I don’t have the time to do everything I want with the current website, let alone expanding! Plus, the thought of managing volunteers is honestly a bit too much. You are most welcome to adapt the concept and create something yourself for other creative arts!!
Great, thank you!
I'm getting to this now. Other than the 2 books you named above, can I ask which others specifically have the autistic characters? I've realised you said 'most' not all. I just need the specific ones. Thanks! I will also add your name/website to the author list so people can find your other books.
Happy to announce I've signed a contract for a follow-on book to "Being #Autistic (and what that actually means)", coming in winter 2026. It will focus on tips and tricks for sensory and emotional management. Thanks to all the kids who let me know they wanted a second book, it made it happen!
Hollow by Taylor Grothe, 4.75 stars. WHAT. This book was so wild. I loved every minute of it. A camping trip gone wrong with poor Cassie trying to make sense of everything. Very good autism representation, def recommend listening to it. #booksky
