Another scout post.. I was doing some comms work for Galway scout county's annual camp this weekend, which gave me a lovely tan. Great to meet old colleagues that are now scouters all over the county.

On photo news, I'm all prepped for @kelbyone.bsky.social's Lightroom Conference, with new tips and I believe, some never before seen ideas.

I'm the Camp Chief for the Western Province Ardán Pioneering Camp for its sophomore outing. Last year I was told, but this year I chose it. Planning is going well and there's potential to fill all the spots. I have a great team and everyone is doing their bit, which is a massive help.

It's Galway Scout County Camp this weekend. I'm doing some bits for them, but as there are enough scouters from that section there, I'm not needed (I'm with Ventures). 11 of my ventures are staffing it though!

Even though my kid aged out years ago, I stay for my own education and enjoyment.

I *love* the X4. But the low light isn't great, so the X5 is a necessary improvement. The Pocket 3 is a very different beast and my use would be for video intros and talking head stuff, with the X4 for BTS and b-roll. Yes, I really am itching to do more content, but am time pressed.

Because of the huge time gap from X2 to X3, and then X3 to X4 I thought it was reasonable that we'd have a wait for the @insta360official.bsky.social X5.... and I guess I was very wrong. I mean it looks great, but if I'm spending that kind of money again, it'll be a @djiglobal.bsky.social Pocket 3.

A throwback to an all day lighting class I did in 2014. Doesn't actually seem that long ago

It's been a busy few weeks. Loads of client work, a few personal projects.. loads of scouting admin for a provincial camp-not to mention a backwoods training weekend. And there's no let up. Lightroom Conference work to do as mentioned and more scouting next weekend!
