Thankfully get a 3 week reprieve of watching this team. #NYR

Really baffling decisions. This season is over. Let these kids get a long run to end the season without fear of getting scratched. How is this helping their confidence? Not saying theyve been great, but sheesh. Iorio I get, you want to see what he has, but scratch Vaak. #NYR

This underwhelming return is why it is crucial for #NYR  to trade Trocheck by deadline & Schneider too (or in summer) bc those would get you the assets this team needs to help retool. Greentree will need development, something this team has struggled with. They need him to be good

You knew Panarin sadly wasnt going to get his true value in a trade return with leverage he had with NMC, but wouldve hoped a bit more than this. Hoped for at least a conditional 1st. Greentree is a solid prospect with potential. You hope he hits, but far from a sure thing. #NYR

Miserable first 45 minutes. Ideal game for the tank, but 26 more games to go is a lot of rough hockey to watch. This is as bad as it gets. #NYR

Rangers claim Vincent Iorio off waivers. Can’t hurt to add a young D for free. Rest of season can be a nice trial if he can be a depth piece for them. #NYR

Not much to say. What a dull boring game. Sucks to play out the string with this many games left of meaningless hockey. Guess Mika continues to look like his old self & Perreault continues to generate chances for himself & his teammates. #NYR

Helpful loss for the draft positioning. Only real things that matter now is Trocheck staying healthy for a trade and young guys making impact. Perreault continued to be noticeable. If he keeps up run he has been on, he will enter next year with a ton of confidence. #NYR

Unfortunately while Panarin staying would be nice, giving 5-6 years and $10+ million to a 34 yr old isn’t smart business when the team stinks. They need to get younger and restock the asset pool

A home run free agency signing. Every single yr he led #NYR  in points, 2 MVP caliber yrs, drove so much offense, & a few big playoff moments. Sure he didn’t get them a Cup & partly that is on his playoffs not to his regular season level, but I enjoyed every moment having Panarin

Sadly it has to happen. Panarin wants 5-6 more years and no discount and they can’t do that with his age and with how bad team has been

So sad we will never see Panarin in a #NYR jersey again. This is the smart move though. Can’t risk him getting hurt & not getting anything. Bummed it has come to this. Unacceptable really. Curious to see where he goes. Hoping it’s with extension to help the return be better

Entertaining game. What a OT winner by Robertson. Also good to see Perreault continue to get better by the game. He is dangerous & making things happen. Wish he got some OT time. #NYR

So weird trading with the Islanders, but solid return for Soucy. Hard to really ask more for a guy who is leaving anyways & was a depth D here. Had decent start to yr, but was overall not great. Ideally Isles end up missing playoffs & this pick is a higher in the 3rd round. #NYR

Another start when they weren’t ready. Settled themselves so they weren’t totally embarrassed again. Perreault continues to be effective. Unlucky not to have a point or 2. Also can’t imagine what it feels like to have a 19 year old who is a superstar like Celebrini. #NYR

Yep you aren’t kidding. He just tried way too hard to be cool. It’s crazy he’s an option. Just shows how little they care

Game felt very reminiscent of last night. Bad turnovers & D killed them. Lengthy 5on3 with tons of chances, but no goals. Had chances to get a point. Good news was this was Morrow’s best game of the yr & Perreault continues to improve & look dangerous. #NYR

Crazy #NYR  didn’t tie that game with all the looks they had late in 3rd. But they did themselves in with things that have plagued them all season, bad turnovers & puck management

My first reaction this screamed Panarin & Trocheck at least were going, which are the right moves to get assets & get younger. Adds intrigue to rest of year. Drury has to nail these trades & also find the guys to bring in. Not sure I trust him to do so, but have no choice. #NYR

Pretty embarrassing it’s only 5 years into Drury’s tenure & only 3 playoff appearances later, that we are back at another letter only 8 years later. I appreciate the candor & what their plan is. Def put a lot of pressure on himself to turn it around quick, which is risky. #NYR

I mean their underlying stats through November were really good. One of Best defensive teams in league. Had trouble finishing but had chances. Now they’re abysmal in all facets

This is as disgustingly bad as I’ve ever seen this #NYR  look in the first two periods. Someone worse than that Bruins blowout. Also worse when you consider the crap they pulled last yr. This team is a travesty right now. How did this get this(!) bad? They looked good until through Thanksgiving

Man this #NYR team continues to find ways to lose. Another poor effort. Not a response you want after getting destroyed. They cannot pass the puck. It not only kills their offensive game, it leads to rushes against & burns them. Going to be rough watching rest of these games

Someone got even more embarrassing. Shades of last year with them quitting. Really bad look. #NYR

They look like a dead team walking. Horrible effort to start this one. Teams, especially goalies, must be licking their chops to play them. #NYR
