Getting back on the Trojan horse after some life interruptions. Luckily, I didn't burn through my whole buffer. So Argos's adventures continue (as well as The Greatest Gatsby and sundry others). Like the Dog of War, I can't be stopped.

Man, after I got New Warriors #1 I was so frustrated that it wasn't their first appearance. I tried to buy this issue, but the shop had already raised the price ... to $2! A 100% value increase in a few months? Outrageous. So I never bought it and my New Warriors run is incomplete. 🙃

Sure ... you can make words into worlds and images that ignite my imagination, but ...

An aquatic humanoid creature stands hunched over itself in a bathtub surrounded by shower curtains. It’s limbs are lean and bony, hands clutching at the side of the tub and the side of the shower curtain as it climbs -one foot forward- out of the tub. Its damp hair spills over its shoulders and sharp dorsal fin cuts down its rounded spine. Behind where the creature is stepping out of the tub- is a smaller similar creature cowering behind the other shower curtain. I’ve done the base outline of the drawing in ink, the blue pencil lines still visible underneath.

I really enjoy seeing my WorkingMan font, which I designed for Blambot around 25 years ago, used so much by letterer Rus Wooton on Skybound's Invincible Universe comics! I designed this as a homage to John Workman's sound effects lettering which I've always loved.

The number of times I've run into my own butt after eating too much... Relatable.
