Disappointing number of posts on social media calling for increases in North Sea oil drilling last few days
- we don't own it
- it'll be 10-15y before any new sites produce much
- renewables cheaper, don't harm environment
So why all these post? Why not call for more renewables??

As a doctor working in data science, keep #Palantir out of our systems.
We led the way in developing NHS data research. We don’t need them.

We don’t want people who don’t even live in the UK buying our democracy.

Councils have a legislative imperative to protect the health of their communities.
It should never be illegal.

Wageningen Uni found actual sea levels are 30cm higher globally than estimates from scientific models. The discrepancy varies markedly & is greatest in Asia & Oceania, where the ocean is 1 to 1.5m higher on some coastlines than most impact assessments have assumed

And they return to same level as non pregnant women by 6m.
Great study but let’s not use it to support the patriarch.
Sorry, just in today’s world….

The Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances for Ukraine (1994)
Who signed it?
• 🇺🇦 Ukraine
• 🇺🇸 United States
• 🇬🇧 United Kingdom
• 🇷🇺 Russia
(France and China gave similar assurances separately.)
So why are we not doing same for Ukraine?

I can see here why it’s exempt.
But it better not be the thin end of the wedge.

“The UK is acting in the collective self-defence of regional allies who have requested support.”
So why aren’t we shooting down drones in #UKRAINE.
Make this make sense….

Good to see, wish the other big emitter wasn’t sending global figures in the wrong direction.
The figures lay the ground for Beijing’s continued support for #renewables & clean tech industries when it signs off its five-year plan next week.

100–500 million litres per year.
In hot climates can exceed 1 billion litres/year.
That’s annual water use of 1,000–5,000+ households.
Or 40–200 Olympic swimming pools/yr.

Burning trees is NOT sustainable
Especially ancient forests.
This monstrosity should not receive a single penny more of our money
Since 2012, Drax has received approximately £6–7 billion in UK govt subsidies.
Could’ve done 1 of the 3 phases of the Dogger Bank Wind Farm for that!

We need legislation for solar panels on all data centres!
And wind power if suitable.
Datacentre developers facing pressure to reveal whether their projects will increase UK’s net greenhouse gas emissions, amid concerns sites could double national electricity demand.
