Went to a Red Sox game when in Boston last month. My wife - not a sport fan - wasn’t impressed when I told her they played extra innings until there was a winner.

The NUJ has asked members to vote ‘yes’ to both strike action and action short of strike.

Fannies, presumably from both Saints and Dundee, fighting near the station. People shouting at the stewards to do something and they just stand there. No police in sight at a known trouble spot.

Lovely end to the football when you don’t feel safe walking back to your car.

But no! VAR decides the St Johnstone goalie moved too soon an a retake is ordered. This time - in the NINETY-NINTH minute - it's scored.

That should be that. Right?! Yes. Yes it is.

A St Mirren shot is blocked by an arm and, after an age, the ref awards a penalty. Mark O'Hara does his thigh taking a spot-kick that is saved.

And that should be that. Right?!

Where to start?! St Johnstone score with about 10 minutes left. St Mirren equalise a couple of minutes from the end thanks to a kid who may well still believe in Santa.

That should pave the way for a nice, sensible injury time. Right?!

The game is as good as done when Alex Gogic is sent off with about 20 seconds of stoppage time left. Motherwell score from the free-kick.

Saints take kick-off and it's full-time as the visitors end a three game losing run.

November 30: Dundee United 2 St Mirren 0

Leading 1-0, Dundee United are awarded a penalty in stoppage time and Marcus Fraser is sent off. The red card is overturned but the review panel agrees it's a penalty.

The penalty is saved only for United to score from the corner.

November 23: St Mirren 2 Aberdeen 1

Saints score what proves to be the winner eight minutes from the end to end Aberdeen's unbeaten start to the season. Not too exciting, although the goal was probably scored about quarter to six as the game is delayed due to snow.

November 9: Hibs 2 St Mirren 1

Saints go into stoppage time 2-0 up at Easter Road, then concede a penalty which is scored. Hibs then score again but, after a lengthy and agonising VAR check, it's correctly ruled out.
