Palestine: Journalists continue to be killed despite ceasefire agreement
At least 234 Palestinian journalists and media workers have been killed by Israeli forces since October 2023, the latest figures by the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) show.
The NUJ joins @ifjglobal.bsky.social and the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate (PJS) in condemning the continued targeting and killing of Palestinian journalists and media workers by Israeli forces, and reiterates calls for an investigation and accountability.

Congratulations to the #freelance music #journalists contributing to Kerrang! for forcing the company to pay up and pay on time. Great to see collective action works. Not great that freelances have to take action simply to ensure they get paid within a month of their work being published

Kerrang! journalistsโ strike shows true metal
In December freelance writers at music magazine Kerrang! showed the power of coordinated, collective action.
Freelance music journalists at Kerrang! went on strike for just an hour and 19 minutes before management agreed to all their terms.
Collective action works.
