Soo now with the holidays break over, how do you do that working the job thing again?
IIRC it was like keep browsing social media and keep convincing yourself you're being productive?
Merry Christmas everyone! π

20.12.2024 22:43 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I still have this dream of having an AI music production assistant so I decided to experiment today.

Cursor is rolling out a new update.
The new mode name for agent edits is very interesting. Quite fitting given it can run anything in your terminalπ
I think innovation is necessary, but god do I feel stupid sometimes wondering whether I can't read the documentation properly or there is a flaw/bug in the framework.
Usually the latter.
It's not that I don't like them, but I always regret updating major versions or trying out new frameworks before they've seen wide adoption in major projects.
Upgraded to Next.js 15 the other day and nothing good came out of it. That and a few other horror stories from work.
Started a @tanstack.com Start project today. It feels so good working with a framework that isn't actively trying to make me feel stupid.
I think it's gonna become my go-to stack for a while. That and @astro.build.
And it works on Windows... Thanks for sharing, couldn't find an alternative to Screen Studio for too long.

Yesterday I posted on reddit a demo of my app. It did decently well, people were interested.
But I didn't realize the download link was broken.
Not a single problem until now. Shouldn't have let my guard down. Rookie mistake, oopsπ
No clue how I got that many achievements but I swear I have a life.

Working in Next.js or other file-based routing frameworks?
Use workbench.editor.customLabels.patterns setting to add custom labels to the tabs to distinguish them easily.

I have not yet seen a single proven and documented in an organized manner strategy out there. Just a bunch of scattered success stories from single events without the bigger picture.
Love the idea and hope it'll become successful.
Haha, just yesterday I was giving feedback on someone else's product saying that for an amateur in entrepreneurship like me a timeline of actionables would be the most helpful.
18.12.2024 22:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Wanted to ask a little more broadly why people here barely talk about technical topics, but what you're saying is definitely something that I've observed as well.
Not too sure either if there is a remedy for that but I can tolerate that as long as people act friendlyπ
Most of the posts here are growth/marketing related so I'm curious to hear your experiences from the other side of things.
18.12.2024 15:53 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Have you ever had a situation where you had a great idea but had no clue how to implement it?
Or felt like you wasted too much time implementing something?
Or have ever hit a technical wall trying to scale your product?

Thanks! If the app succeeds, I definitely intend to expand it onto other social media too.
You can use it for free on Bsky temporarily - once you sign in you'll be able to set up a monitor for your product and it will keep running for 48 hours. Perhaps it will find you a few potential customersπ
Could this be useful to you? sky-scout.app
It's a service I'm working on to find qualified leads on social media. I used it to find your post actuallyπ
It's currently completely free to use as I'm running a pilot of the premium features.
This is so cool. Wish I had this when I started using Daisyπ
18.12.2024 12:14 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0And as a music producer, it's the same struggle as wellπ
So many promising artists and game devs struggle to get noticed I'm thinking ahead a little bit if maybe there is a common thread here that could be solved.
Definitely, web dev is one of my passions!
Currently switching my career track temporarily to focus on game dev and realize one project we've wanted to make for so long. This is why I've already started learning marketing in game dev.
I did experience a few instances of leaving customers due to outages, infra problems, unreliability, issues that could be resolved by fixing tech debt but were disregarded.
But obviously, every issue needs to be considered on it's own merit
Haha definitely not. I'm not disagreeing with you. What I wanted to say is that it's more of a greyscale of importance and tech debt being a possible root cause of some of the other problems on the list.
18.12.2024 10:57 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0And at the same time, there may be no point spending time on fixing tech debt when is nothing is fundamentally wrong with the business.
17.12.2024 23:23 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0But since it's usually corelation and not causation, it's hard to gauge. It's always a struggle to prove that it needs the most attention as without it any other action is futile.
17.12.2024 23:22 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0This sounds like really solid advice in most cases, but I'm not sure health of the codebase has a place in it.
To me, the lack of tech debt is an enabler. A problem in other areas may be corelated to tech debt, in which case it should get the most attention.
