The only thing that makes me inclined to accept these findings is that they may align with my worldview. I have no idea who this is and why I should trust them. They're a made up identoty online. Who will vouch for their integrity?

The whole point of reputation is trust. If journaliists have burned theirs (some have, some haven't) it isn't magically conferred onto u/noun_noun_bunchanumbers

I'm not an immunologist so i defer to doctors on vaccines. Same thing here.

Honestly mate who the fuck knows. I am in no way _able_ to verify any of it on my own. That's the thing about "do your own research" - no, I won't, for the same reason it's unfeasible for me to just grow my own food.

I wondered for a minute if I could try to finish the original Half Life (I never defeated Nihilanth), and even went as far as checking if I still had my cloud saves on Steam before remembering I'd only ever played it on CD-ROM before Steam even existed. 🤦

My favourite steam games are of the genre "oh this looks nice--oh wait apparently i already own this?"

Just gave it a whirl and its's really fun! Bit of a pain to drag nodes around on the steam deck but i love the control allows cool combos in the programming paradigm

Would be cool if someone would model a whole stylized city in chunks and release it as CC0 so developers can use that and make multiple games all take place in the same city.
