Acetaminophen Use During Pregnancy and Children’s Risk of Autism, ADHD, and Intellectual Disability This nationwide cohort study with sibling control analysis examines the association of acetaminophen use during pregnancy with children’s risk of autism, ADHD, and intellectual disability.

Funny enough, the very small relationship between Tylenol and autism goes away when accounting for family-level variance jamanetwork.com/journals/jam...

The assumption that parents of autistic kids could not themselves be autistic, having achieved such an important societal milestone as finding a social connection (at least for one night), is rooted in ableist nonsense and SO frustrating!!

There wouldn’t be an issue with increasing identification of autism and pushing to identify a “cause” if autism wasn’t viewed as a problem to begin with 👀

Flier for the Northwest Augmentative Communication Society 2025 Virtual Conference, with featured presenter Dr. Alyssa Hillary Zisk, who is the original poster (yesthattoo). It includes the date of the conference, September 28, 2025, a registration link of bit.ly/nwacs2025, the promotional code NWACScode2025_AHZ for 15% off registration, and a picture of Dr. Zisk lying down on the floor.

I will be presenting on neurodiversity-affirming AAC, gestalt language processing, and a a decent chunk of stuff about part-time AAC use/AAC use by speaking autistic folks on September 28, 2025. A recording will be available until November 12, 2025.

“It’s the registry without the word ‘registry’ in it,” said David Mandell, a professor of psychiatry and longtime autism researcher at the University of Pennsylvania.

It would improve trust if people could opt out of having their data included in the "real-world platform"/registry.

A1: My top priority is for senior researchers in the field to examine their own positionality, for many of them to realise that they too are autistic, to embrace this, explore what it means for themselves & our community, and then - when ready - to own it and come out publicly
