This is how I feel when I'm trying to check email and need to use the Microsoft (aka microslop aka microsloth) authenticator app... wait until end for the poorly placed "reply" and "reply all" buttons in outlook.

One of my students asked me what my favorite primate is. Everyone has a favorite. I blurted out gibbon (tied for first with bonobos). A week later they gave me this work of art.
I'm not familiar with the concept of "too early for alcohol"
A few of my favorite things...
Happy Birthday to Tony Iommi, guitarist for Black Sabbath. Had the finger tips on his fret hand chopped off in a horrible industrial accident. Stop playing guitar wasn't an option. So he made himself some new finger tips and invented heavy metal.

Happy Birthday to Bob Daisley! If u can remember a lyric that ozzy sang "solo", Bob probably wrote it & never got proper credit or pay. Bob (with Lee Kerslake on drums also never credited) put the train in crazy train and so much more. I play bass because of Bob!

I reuse 2 names. My current/favorite instruments are always Glamdring & Orcrist. Currently my foe-hammer is a Fender P thru a chest-crushing 700 watt head & my goblin cleaver is a Gibson Explorer thru an ancient tube and recent solid state amps for a total goblin hacking ear-bleeding 125 watts.
I'm always happy write letters in support of students.
I think I will start signing them like this, including uploading this wonderful portrait.
Will it help or hurt students' chances?
I name mine after the various swords in Lord of the Rings.
I'm alive because of the vaccine!
Timeline cleanse from all the heartbreaking and soul crushing doom scrolling with a Q:
If I have a dirty vodka martini (my specialty) with extra olives, does that count as a serving of vegetables?
Little while ago the full moon was so bright the trees were casting shadows on some fresh snow.
As all the crazy continues it's time for some karaoke.
"Dirty deeds, done dirt cheep"
Not anymore. Everything cost more.

A moment of peace in a quiet backyard when it feels like all hell is breaking loose.
Bunny warming itself in the sun on a cool Autumn day in my backyard.
They had friends nearby.
Protect your peace. Stay strong. Find allies. Never give up.
Look who I saw on my bike ride.
Long-term cognitive impairment from covid? Many students drawn to felxible on-line asynchronous course?
Start with: 100% support access to education & education as basic human right to frame question: 10% of my class of 270 students (more than ever) need accommodations. Happy to do it. Anyone seeing a trend? Why more? More accessing education (I hope yes) that didn't in past? Something bad? Any ideas?
Does anyone know where I can find videos and pictures of cats? Also ads for casinos? Can't find them anywhere.
I grew up riding that trail riding from central etobicoke all the way down to the lake and beyond. Some wierd and frightening bits. Good for you (and all of us) that you saw someone who needed it and helped.
I have the chest freezer. No utility sink yet. Every time I see a utility sink I think of my great grandmother and her sink and how she always had a giant block of homemade soap on her utility sink in her basement. Ready for any manner of emergency that required some scrubbing.
