The cadence is just Too French Canadian and it was doubly jarring when listening to the audiobook as the narrator stuck to a continental French accent since it was... Not quite congruent

i'm so bad at actually putting in any words that i write
i end up using a lot of dream snippets for writing when it's like that! maybe not the imagery itself but the tone, the atmosphere
i usually don't do both but the short story came out fully formed so i gotta π
it's honestly incredible how much dreams can set the tone for a day. i always wake up slightly disoriented
for me, trying to work on this new novel and short story i started. also a ton of chores to do and finishing a pair of mittens for my partner before it gets Real Cold again
