Btw if anyone wants to help me, I need people to fill out this survey about Wikipedia!

Woo! Another one down
not sure the internet is ready for Kacey Musgraves and Miranda Lambert working it out on the remix (technically the original but w/e) www.billboard.com/music/music-...
If you have any spare change, a close family friend is trying to evacuate their father out of the conflict zone in Iran 💔
They're close to their goal, so anything helps!!!
The "Rappin' Rodney" video has Pat Benatar dressed as a leather goth executioner in a gimp mask
what does this have to do with me. they sing their big song a lot
The beat to "Rappin' Rodney" goes pretty hard
Another thing I liked: Most music industry lore I know is all "Here's a scrappy little label run by guys with great taste who discovered all these brilliant artists and changed culture," I need more books about the history of billion-dollar media conglomerates which is most of the actual industry
"You're Beautiful" is in a Google commercial
what band
In the book, this is framed not as a story about Bronfman making a bad business decision, but as him having terrible taste (Bronfman himself is a bad songwriter with some minor success)

Also fascinating: Said failson was the money-guy kind of record executive, handling business stuff, not a music-guy like Clive Davis who's there to have great taste and pick winners... with one exception. CEO Bronfman had one guy he really liked and put the weight of the company behind: James Blunt
Still, fascinating stuff about the business side of music which I don't know a lot about, like how the '92 Cop Killer controversy in '92 fucked WMG for decades (imagine deciding at the start of the '90s that this hip-hop stuff is too controversial and bad for business, better stop releasing those)
I am disappointed to report that this book is actually about the failson redeeming himself somewhat by buying Warner Music and steering it safely through the Internet age and flipping it for a profit, I wanted a book about a losing loser who loses
not for more than a month!
God, that Michael Jackson biopic is already such a shitshow
Friendly reminder there are over 300 million people in this country. Hit shows got more than 3x these numbers in the 90s. Even more in the 70s. Someone watching tv in real time in 2026 (and is willing to tell the Nielsens) is not the “Average American” anymore than someone answering their landline.
I choose to believe that the "Hamnet" is part of the same universe as "Shakespeare in Love" and the plots of both are happening simultaneously
I make my case that the pairing makes sense! Listen below and see if you agree!
He seems like he's doing pretty well and he's a pretty cool guy! Also next time I see him I am absolutely calling him "Disney's Spencer"
lol i don't remember this at all
A new Song vs. Song, where we argue over Bob Dylan's "Lay Lady Lay" vs. Velvet Underground's "Sweet Jane" and I try to make my case that this matchup makes sense. With special guest Spencer Breslin (star of The Cat in the Hat, Santa Clause 2 and 3). Seriously!

which one? i don't remember things that far back
You know what, actually, no, I think "Filthy" is worse. My number one rule of music videos is that it should serve the song, and the "Supplies" video unfortunately meshes with the awful song it's working with.

I'm okay with one or two snubs but if it doesn't win Best Costumes for the sex scarf I riot
tragically i must report it is actually from 2024 (it's from a deluxe edition of an album originally from 2022) and thus does not qualify
oh, WatchMojo rips me off all the time
ignore that guy, do your thing bro
I think that's also why there hasn't been a Fleetwood Mac movie yet
