Imagine having SIX times the resource revenue and still ending up with a larger deficit than when Alberta's New Democrats were in power.

How embarrassing.

A bridal bouquet made of vintage jewelry pins in many colours with champagne coloured ribbon gathered at the base. Bouquet tilted to show the ruffles and pearls on the base above the handle Close up of vintage jewelry pins covering a round bridal bouquet. A red maple leaf, a bejeweled little US flag, pink, purple, green, blue, clear and pearl pins

My daughter is getting married next weekend & I just finished her bouquet. Made on a silk hydrangea flower base covered with vintage brooches and earrings wired onto "stems" then finished off with wire ribbon. I even found a maple leaf for her and an American flag for him!! 😻🧶 #diywedding

Could not be more proud of you, Team Canada.

You’re coming home with 21 hard-fought Olympic medals. Though what Canadians will remember most is how you wore the Maple Leaf: with pride, with grit, and with determination.

More folks now stay in Alberta (vs shiftwork travel from other provs) and more stay to retire, meaning that the chronically undersized health care system & other social services that were subsidized by the rest of Canada, now need investment. You can’t demand immigration then yell about it.

As a bonus, the great John Lithgow reads the 20 points! 👏🏻💚👏🏻

From the comments:

"As of '25, Timothy Snyder will be on leave from Yale and will teach at the Univ of Toronto for '25-6. Jason Stanley and Marci Shore, profs at Yale, are moving to Toronto to teach. The Brain Drain begins.

Four health ministers.
Four agencies.
No one is clearly in charge.

We’re calling for:
✔️ A State of Emergency in ERs

Please sign and share the petition below with friends, family & colleagues across #Canada!

Several provinces (esp #Alberta #Ontario) are pushing for-profit healthcare in many areas, making access dependent on one’s financial status and in direct opposition to the Canada Healthcare Act.

It would not surprise me to see a UCP plan on paying for your own health care via volunteering at a casino yearly.

This is the horrifying part. We all hate TrumpCo. But he's just the symptom of the infection in the system.

I received a message from an Alberta ED colleague that stopped me cold. He treated a very elderly pt - a retired Charge Nurse who began her career as WWII ended. She waited 8 hours in the WR for care. Her assessment of our current reality is devastating....

I've been asked by 3 media outlets in the last week to do interviews on the influenza season.

I still haven't seen our new CMOH, appointed Dec 18th, (or old one, for that matter. Or any public health official) in the media on this topic.

For the record, they are acutally paid, to do this.

My dad, 85 years old, suffering from the effects of a 2 year struggle with cancer, and chief of surgery at the Chinook Regional Hospital for decades, was moved from an already overcrowded space to an “overcapacity room” while he recovers from a stomach bleed and pneumonia. This is the room. 🧵🧵🧵

A photo of over 10 monks walking on the road with a dog. They're guarded by police escorts as they passed through urban areas. A close up of Aloka, their dog, in a white sweater, looking happy and proud to walk with them. A close up of the monks. The monks smiling and waving.

Excellent photos by Sebastian Hagan of the Monks' "Walk For Peace" yesterday as they passed through Atlanta suburbs.

The 2,300-mile pilgrimage spans 120 days, beginning in Texas and ending in DC.

Look how proud their pup, Aloka, is! Aloka was rescued from India & is already winning hearts. 🥰

Alberta Moves to Protect Greenwashers Lost in the news cycle about the Alberta-Canada memorandum of understanding (MOU) in the past days was a legislative move by the Alberta government to reduce investor accountability for Alberta-based ...

"Alberta’s Bill 12 enables the gov't to pass regs reducing accountability for “climate-related” disclosures by AB-listed companies... this would be the first instance of a province moving to reduce investor accountability specifically with regard to climate claims."
