The average pitch the Cubs batters have seen this postseason is 92.7 MPH.

Not the average "fastball." The average PITCH. All of them.

That's faster than the average -fastball- the 2008 Cubs saw in the playoffs: 92.4.

Celebrating the fans we've lost The Mariners owning October would provide another reason to celebrate loved ones no longer with us.

Good morning!

The #Mariners playing in October is reminding me of someone I lost, who could never get enough of this baseball team regardless of its place in the standings.

I suspect many of you can relate.

As awesome as it is having the #Mariners in the postseason, some fans may be experiencing a heaviness of heart.

David Cone is such a good analyst. Lots of insight with an economical amount of words. Doesn’t talk just to be heard.

Can’t say the same about the other two ESPN guys on the Red Sox v Yankees broadcast.

Let's drop some scouting notes ahead of SD/CHC

1) SD probably has the hardest-throwing 'pen ever. Or close to it. This is 4sm/sinker, relievers, Aug/Sept (i.e., after Miller trade) dating back to 2008.

Since there's almost zero chance any bullpen before 2008 was throwing like this.. hardest ever?

How/where #Mariners games will be broadcast next year will be determined in the future.

Today, my thoughts are with the ROOT Sports personnel who are losing their jobs.

Mickey Mantle was an all-time great. But there’s a noteworthy difference between the era Mantle played in and Cal Raleigh’s era.

When Mantle hit 54 home runs in 1961, he faced 99 pitchers on *nine* teams.

Raleigh entered today having faced 275 pitchers on 27 teams.

Despite all of the difficulties the #Mariners rotation has encountered, only one team has used fewer starters than SEA.

Logan Evans
Logan Gilbert
Emerson Hancock
George Kirby

Most career home runs at T-Mobile Park. Note the disparity in plate appearances between Mike Trout and some of the #Mariners near Trout on this list.

No. 903: Luke on the stretch run by Seattle Mariners Podcast Mariners sweep the Cardinals and we visit with Luke Arkins. We chat about Cal, Julio and what it will take for the M’s to punch their ticket to the postseason.

Had the pleasure of joining Gary Hill on the Seattle #Mariners Podcast to discuss the M’s stretch run and postseason outlook.

Spoiler alert: I’m feeling pretty good about the M’s.

Also, Gary is so darn smart and is terrific in the booth. A great guy!
