Ride 7. Thames to Cambridge along the Hauraki Trail. The longest ride on an MTB. Needed to take a picture of Cows, a return to Hobbiton and a typical picture of the Shires where the Hobbits’s are 😀

Day 7, Ride 6. Managed to dodge the rain but not the wind 💨 An unexpected detour through a golf course. The longest ride in a day so far 😀

Found a gym, it’s a small one and of course the gym bike has the most uncomfortable saddle. But it was nice to do a little workout on the bike and some light weights afterwards after my mammoth trip and lots of sitting 😄

Given that @qatarwings.bsky.social have treated me so badly, I thought I would enquire about the cost of an upgrade. Apparently they thought they were doing me a favour by offering a price for Business that is more than the cost of my entire trip, including my hotels 😲

Shocking behaviour of Qatar. Breaking so many regulations right now. Not a good look for them.

Both @Iberia and @qatarwings.bsky.social have wriggled and squirmed to not put me in a hotel after delaying my 1st flight to make me miss my 2nd flight. Had to pay for a sleep pod as I now endure a 24 transit time at Doha. Shit sleep, proper pissed off. Like sleeping on a flattened car seat 😡

Saw that cloud coming on todays ride. Got home just in time before it hammered down. If it keeps raining like it has been then I’m going to have to go somewhere else for a month or so until the weather picks up 🤷‍♂️

Great mountain bike ride out with the club boss. A single trail I had steered away from since doing the 4 stage as I had fallen off twice the last time but not today 😄 and a much better and beautiful day than yesterday 😀
