CN hospital, surgery, death

Hospital, small routine surgery for them, gender affirming surgery for me. We're planning how to spend the time until we're both healed. Until I realise we're not. We're actually writing their will. I ask them about it. They lash out that they can't cope anymore. ~

If only I could stop to wonder, to care and to hurt.
