Senate Democrats have a chance to show their voters they can effectively stymie

But publicly and behind closed doors, the Democratic Party is grappling with whether to resist or - in Minority Whip Dick Durbin's words - seek a "quid pro quo," Jordain Carney reports.
Inside Democrats' lunch Wednesday, senators talked through potential

Here's a concrete example of how I did this at my last job, with a single stylesheet: github.com/google/skia-...

This allows for a much more flexible application. For example, I can totally change the look of an application from a global style sheet, such as introducing "dark mode" w/o having to perform surgery on every web component to update it's hidden styles.

I seem to approach web components differently that what a lot of people propose. For example, I believe the HTML of the component should be viewed as part of the "surface" of the component. I.e. it should all be in the Light DOM, allowing it to be styled as part of the wider application.

As for web components and Shadow DOM, I have strong feelings :-)

When using WC I'm building applications and not building low-level reusable components. I don't find the CSS isolation useful, in fact, I find it gets in the way of using CSS to build an application.

OK, for a more nuanced answer, yes, I have gotten into complex layouts where I wish I had something like @scope to make the rules a little simpler to reason about.
