I don't like using paypal as a middleman for commissions, I'm starting to think I should charge a fee to clients for using it and take direct deposits whenever I can instead. Anyone else tried this with art commissions?

I've never actually played any FF games before, this version is just a mashup of the different iterations of him from various games.

Vanessa, lovely client she is, gave me permission to talk about the art I did for her so here's some of it.

I'm still inexperienced at backgrounds but these came out pretty nice, considering. These are relegated to my portfolio now but they were gonna be for a pathfinder videogame.

This thing totally sucks but it's good practice, gonna try making another one some time soon and improve upon it

Behold, first thing I've ever sewn. Wanted to hem the edges of this cheesecloth so I could wash and reuse it, then I turned it into a little dinky bag. Thinking I could boil stock ingredients in it and just remove the bag after instead of needing to strain the soup after.

Man I've been trying to figure out how to make groups of trees and blend them to the ground for a while but you make it look easy. I gotta get back to drawing plants again.

I made a sprite of mega victreebel for the practice of it. Don't care for the new game, but the character designs are always a highlight of pokemon and this guy was fun to translate to pixel art.

I played Fields of Mistria a while back and I thought it was a good game but it really is just Stardew with some QoL changes. On the other hand, I'm not really sure what all you could do with a farming game? Maybe that's a lack of imagination on my part.

Washed my helmet liner for the first time since buying the thing. Shoulda done this way sooner, all the dead skin and sweat made it smell like vinegar. Much more comfortable now.

Working with a really small palette turned out to be a lot of fun, the style ended up being really strong. I think I'd like to make a game myself with this kinda look, one day.
