I second the value of a good grinder.
But I’ll throw out an alt brewer to the French press…
The Aeropress.
You get the simplicity.
You get the ritualistic aspect.
Plus you get the satisfaction of knocking the puck right into the trash (or garden / compost) with a nice thud.
And an easy clean!
