27.11.2025 02:30 β π 9333 π 2125 π¬ 80 π 58Been reading through the play-test rules for Hexingtide, and I've got to say, its probably the most fun I've had reading through a #TTRPG all year.
Highly suggest checking this out if you're at all into horror, tabletop role playing games, or monster hero fiction!

A castle atop a stacked house of cards. All in simple geometry, solid colors, no shading. 5 colors in total, including white and the yellow background.
RTs appreciated.
Are there any artists in the ttrpg space who does/has done art in this style? Essentially, images composed of simple geometry, solid colors.
For a game I'm working on. Paid work, of course.
one of the coolest things about ChatGPT is how you can actually just never use it. you can fill your whole entire life with simply not once using it. it's incredible.

Oh hey, we put up the dozen Core Playbooks, if you want to check them out. I'll talk about them a tiny bit in the thread below.

I always wanted to design a custom card deck, so this was a lot of fun. (Also, the quality of the POD cards is surprisingly good!)

Rewatching the classics. I might have to make a Sorcerer / Wages of Fear one shot some day. Jenga mechanics? Seems like a good start.

Willem Defoe and Marianne Kanter in a motel room, reflected in a mirror, with light from the blinds creating lines on the green wall behind them.
A high angle shot, looking down on a scene in a garage, composed like a painting with figures in the foreground, middle ground, and background.
Willem Defoe in a disheveled motel room, looking out a window. A red Corvette is parked outside, framed in an open doorway.
Gotta love these compositions.

A low angle shot of a woman's legs in the foreground, wearing hose and white high heels, dancing on a zebra print rug while men in the background look on.
Last night's movie: THE LOVELESS (1981). The phrase "every frame a painting" definitely applies here.

12.11.2025 20:54 β π 75 π 24 π¬ 1 π 0I am not much for post apocalyptic games these days, but the Bakers could put out a new edition every year and I would buy it.
Apocalypse World is responsible for fostering curiosity and inspiring confidence in so many designers. It helped build an era for games incredibly rich with creativity.
Apocalypse World has had a bigger impact on my life than any other roleplaying game. It's just a phenomenal game, designed by phenomenal people. You should pick up a copy of the new edition!

06.11.2025 20:27 β π 149 π 24 π¬ 1 π 1This is definitely my favorite way to play/GM most games, but especially AW and games like it. I've been very lucky to be in many groups who love it, too.
