This week, our ever active Yr 8 boys enjoyed a great Squash session, delivered by @coolhurstrackets coach Daniel Moreno. This is the 3rd session out of 6 which sees CoolHurst Tennis & Squash Club partner with St. Aloysius' College in order to expose the students to new sports.

Jeska from our friends at Growing Green officially launched the St Aloysius' Forest Club this week! Ten students will have the chance to be part of weekly sessions that evolve around everything natural, bio-diverse and sustainable with newly appointed forest leader Gareth. 🌿🌿🌿

Welcome to Louise & Andreas from Islington Council who visit our school as part of the MHARS project (Islington mental health & resilience). The experts will speak with students, staff & parents to find out where our mental health provision works and where it could be added to.

Twenty students from our Years 7 and 8 recently ventured to the British Library for a brilliantly inspiring creative writing workshop called 'Write Here'. The boys were asked to produce a piece of creative writing set at the British library, using so-called 'immersive methods'.

Our Yr 9 team has reached the Islington & Camden Cup final after defeating Highbury Grove School 4-3 on Monday! This is the first time in 4 years that we've had more than one year group reach a final, and it will be this current Year 9 team's first ever final for the school. 😃

Looking into the future: Year 10 recently attended the ASCEND Black professionals Conference 2025 at City St George’s, University of London. Students heard from a panel of inspirational speakers about their careers and how they got to where they are today. 1/2 🧵

Shakespearian wisdom brought to life! Our Year 7 actors deliver some classics of the famous bard with gusto, fusing memorising skills and oracy. We applaud the confidence with which the boys delivered their lines and say a big Thank You to Ms Doorly for preparing our young thespians so wonderfully.

On the menu of the first edition were Swiss rosti potatoes with avocado and sour cream, followed by banana muffins for dessert. Needless to say that the food went down a treat, as did the hints from tips from chef Arti. A big thank you to her for the upbeat and warm delivery. 2/2

What a joy to watch our resident chef Arti Mirwani-Daltry lean into her Cookery Club sessions. They are aimed at Year 10 students from both St Aloysius' and @channing_school and take place on Tuesdays after school until Easter. 1/2 🧵

Our Year 12 #youngentrepreneur students brought their unique t-shirt range to @oldspitalfieldsmarket the other day and were excited to show the two designs on offer - Union Jack and F40 - to the wider public. Like last year, the programme runs in partnership with Channing School.

'Wilding' illustrated in a beautiful and captivating way the necessity to protect the ground beneath our feet and rethink our relations with the land and wildlife. It left a strong, positive impression on the students and their teachers. 3/3
