Did everyone but me know about this? If you can't make it to/afford In-Edit, apparently lots of the music docos come out on this afterwards, and there's tons of good art and photography docos (plus some great films). All free.

Sorted. Turned out to be a case of going to the Comisaría on a different day and getting a different funcionario. Cómo no.

Managed to get another cita on Tuesday at different comisaría in hope that not all funcionarios hold the same view. Will let you know.

I don't know where you are but in BCN at least they release the appts for the following week at 3pm on Thurs. It's like trying to get Glastonbury tickets, you just keep smashing the button.

(but yes you can definitely renew it before it expires and I HIGHLY suggest that you do…)

I couldn't get an appt for T for months, finally got one in Terrassa, where they turned her away because her card expired the day before. Said she needed the green card from the Oficina de Extranjería, which is appt only -- but you can't get the appt if you don't have a valid TIE. Spectacular work.

They release the citas at 3pm every Thurs (in BCN at least), and you have to sit there hammering the refresh button, while the site collapses under the weight of 10 squillion people doing the same thing.

Took months to get a cita and there were none in BCN so had to go to Terrassa today. Hour on the train, stack of documentation, and then 'oh sorry your TIE ran out yesterday so is no longer valid'. It RAN OUT YESTERDAY BECAUSE IT'S TAKEN SIX MONTHS TO GET A FRIGGING APPT.

I don't think I have enough followers in Spain to merit a residency renewal rant but… JODER
