Have given plenty of views elsewhere on #SWFC takeover collapse, which I don’t think is a bad thing apart from the time wastage. I’m not a great believer in multi-investor multi-club models. Others are back in the running including Mike Ashley, who I’d make favourite at this stage.

This young Sheffield Wednesday team 'will give more' than last derby no contest
Alan Biggs on this weekend’s derby from a Sheffield Wednesday perspective
It’s a free hit in some ways. You can’t exactly say #SWFC have “nothing to lose” … but I think approaching it in that manner is their best & only hope.

I can’t think of a single reason why Sheffield United won’t beat Sheffield Wednesday
Alan Biggs on what many expect to be a one-sided Sheffield derby this weekend
Chris Wilder’s “dangerous game” message will be a much harder sell this time. Maybe that’s all the more reason for it?
But I’m standing by the headline to my #SUFC column …

The Sheffield United unit creating a buzz at Bramall Lane
Alan Biggs on two of Sheffield United’s bright young things
Two special talents in tandem … Brooks & Seriki. But no longer “youngsters.” Expectations of both are big & rightly so. My #SUFC column.

Gus Hamer shows what SUFC would miss but recent dip might work in their favour

Column this week.
A #SUFC transfer jigsaw with all the pieces airborne.
No end in sight to the misery at #SWFC - & why I’m all about the operational side of ownership, not the money.

I hope to be proven wrong should Bord take over. As you say - & as I also say in the article - he’s “clearly a clever guy” & seems well funded. In the meantime, a level of scrutiny & opinion is healthy. As per mine, not a tablet of stone. This has to be right to make all those sacrifices worth it.

Probably not &, as you say, there’s this conflict in football between money & methods. Admin can’t help money winning if it’s there. Methods only seen later - as per DC. That’s what worries me with ownership generally. You need to know football & if not, fine, just delegate. Too many go ego first.

I’d also argue that the fan base, through the Trust, had plenty of control over removing DC. They forced it. The Trust may have less influence over who replaces him but it shouldn’t just stop.
