Went back to karate tonight. Training in a chair as I’m not fully weightbearing yet, but it’s a start. Moon boot day tomorrow!

Long suspected ADHD is raging at the moment Could be hormones? Who knows. Anyway, I tried one of my kids' ADHD meds today and in my free period I finalised two assessments, printed the answers for staff and got the students papers in for copying. Might be a coincidence, but this is a lot for me!

I’m loving the whole shebang. Alex was great last week! Will listen to 12 today.

The opening of Up has hardened my heart against all other tragedies. Damn you, Disney!

Another #welly late summer swim at Days Bay. By which I mean Sammy went for a swim while I read my book in the afternoon sun and sneakily slipped on wine in my drink bottle. 🤭

Then a quick drink and garlic bread pizza over at the pavilion before we head home to domestic life again.

Do it! Recovery will suck but then it will be done. Love from a girl who is almost done with week 6 of a six week cast and then moving to a moon boot for just as long on Tuesday!

I just followed the hashtag to work out what a scrabblegram is. This is fantastic! Do you do it physically with tiles? Or on paper? Or using a program of some sort?
I am here for this!!

#Welly sunset from Days Bay. Been a cracker day today for the official last day of Summer. Feeling a bit sad that I haven’t been able to swim at all but looking forward to casting off the cast (lol) very soon!

I’ve taken the paddling pool away for the season and I’m back in my happy place - under the tarp, a warm sunny day, cicadas chirping madly. Time for a read then a snooze.

Second week of school done. Able to weight bear a little more - 60:40 standing alone and can walk short distances with only one crutch, albeit leaning heavily.
Looking forward to moonboot day, Tuesday. Not looking forward to seeing my presumably very skinny and hairy leg!

Fascinating! I had this book as a kid and loved learning how things work, but this video had a lot more detail. So cool.

More seriously though; Hijack is excellent viewing. Dramatic, gripping, tense - so good. And having to watch one ep a week like in the old days? It just delays the delicious conclusion (which I am still wondering about how they will tie this up). Chefs kiss. 😘 👌🏼

I particularly enjoyed S2E7 tonight where @benwillbond.bsky.social skips through a doorway and over to a desk, It brought to mind #BBCGhosts and the Captain’s way of moving when he was excited (eg in the wedding ep - S2) But I realise it’s just how Ben moves. Simply delightful.

So my two favourite men would hang out and watch what we affectionately called “Daddy Movies”. Thrillers, Action, War films etc.
Hijack would definitely have been right in his wheelhouse.

When my dear old Dad was still with us, my boyfriend (now hubby) used to come and hang out at home with Dad when Ma and I were out at choir practice. He was not well enough that Mum felt comfortable leaving him home alone in the evening.
