Honestly, I don’t need to have access to email if I’m not working. I write disability decisions for the ALJs. I don’t deal directly with the public in 99% of what I do. No one is contacting me after business hours. It’s kinda nice v my first job at a firm after law school—constant harassment 😒

I can’t check my emails as a whole because some of them potentially contain SSNs. My personal cell (no work cell) doesn’t have any security to protect claimant information.

I’m an attorney for the SSA. I can’t check my government email on the weekend but I bet that delightful missive is just waiting for me. Happy fuckin’ Monday.
