ahh right, getting oil paints out of stuff is also hell and the barrier to entry is so low for acrylics…
I like Vallejo paints the most, but I assume they are expensive and explicitly miniature focused

gouache is really fun to work with as well

Adding to that
As a miniature and diorama guy,
oil is evil and toxic and needs allot of time to cure

Oil creates cool as texture and brushstroke volume but acrylics are easier to handle in every regard.

Still kinda reeling from the reveal that Metal Gear Solid 4 is finally getting ported. MGS4 is flawed as hell in so many ways but it’s also such a fascinating and important game that I’m happy more people will finally be able to play it and experience the highs and lows for themselves

The title screen for the G-Mode Archives Switch re-release of Aegis: The First Mission, a Japan-only polygonal action game starring Persona 3's Aigis, released on feature phones. It features a transparent blue silhouette of Aigis, armed and ready against the backdrop of the Kirijo Research Institute on Yakushima Island.

Aigis talking to Eiichiro Takeba (Yukari's scientist father) inside the laboratory, saying, "It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance" in her trademark, stilted military cadence in Japanese. The area is rendered in a simplified polygonal view with only the bottom of the walls shown as room boundaries a la The Sims and furniture shown as sky blue 2D silhouettes. A handful of other lab workers are also shown standing in other rooms. The NPCs and Aigis are all simple, low-fi polygonal models.

Panel 01: Shen's hands are holding a notebook that says "GOOD DAY NOTE" on it in a writing style similar to how "DEATH NOTE" is written in Death Note. Panel 02: A grey skinned, yellow eyed, blonde haired angel/shinigami character with little wings and a toga is standing behind Shen. He says "That's right! Anyone whose name you write in that notebook will have a FANTASTIC day!" Panel 03: Shen turns his head slightly, now looking at you, the viewer. Panel 04: Shen is looking at you with a devious, evil smile, the book open and pen in hand. His eyes are red, like the Shinigami Eyes from Death Note, which allow you to see someone's name by looking at them.
