The AAUP condemns the attack of a journalist at OSU.
This incident is a predictable consequence of the dismantling of widely accepted practices of academic shared governance.
How?
The assailant is an employee of the Chase “intellectual diversity” center which has limited accountability to OSU.
The Rooster has obtained the personnel file of Ohio State Assistant Professor Luke Perez.
$102k salary, tenure-track position down the drain. Will likely have to reimburse the university when it fires him for cause later this year.
A Chase Center affiliate assaulted a journalist trying to interview Gordon Gee. See @dispatch.com coverage of the incident, which includes our statement.

We must stand up for all of our students. The federal government's targeting and treatment of international students is completely unacceptable.
"This administration has created nothing but a climate of fear of on campus...we have to protect our students, faculties, and communities in this moment. We must fight back."
– Todd Wolfson, AAUP President
