We started using an accountant. It costs a little more but at least the money is going to a local business and we just turn the paper over and she does all the work. No stress. Eff TurboTax.

The Terrific Two finally saw The Fantastic Four today. I loved every minute of it. While Superman was pure joy, this felt like a religious experience. Yes, Suze and I teared up when Mike's name came up on the screen. Though, tbh, the Jack Kirby quote had already gotten me.

Yeah the dead menus! Constantly having to restart. Only works part of the time.

Oof. So expensive. Someday something is going to do to Photoshop what InDesign did to Quark.

I'm at the mercy of my employer. I like it for a thousand reasons. But it's becoming unusable.

Ever since Adobe went to the subscription model, Photoshop has become an absolute glitchy piece of shit.

Whew. A giant limb broke off a neighbor's tree and the wind carried it 40 feet into the next yard. I went over and cleared her walkway but that limb must weigh 500 pounds. My rechargeable hand saw isn't up to the task. These storms are getting insane.

Gets worse every year. I don't want to cut down trees but one of them is going to end up on my house if this keeps up.

I've spent every free weekend this summer hauling all the accumulated wreckage from all the storms we've had. Yesterday I finally finished. Another storm just rolled through, knocking out our power and dropping limbs everywhere. I give up.

My wife watched it without me and warned me. I couldn't reconcile that with Jenny from THE ROCKETEER so I've never watched it. I'm sure she was great in it. I just can't do it.

Feels like Mike is having a moment. Apparently he's in the thank yous after the Fantastic Four movie (!). I found this magazine at B&N featuring one of his FF issues and there's a facsimile edition of his Spider-Boy Amalgam comic being released. Go, Mike!

Been waiting patiently for this one for a long time! Somewhat patiently. Okay not very patiently.

Mark Waid told the story of when Jemas fired him and Wieringo, there was enough of a blowback to pressure Jemas to hire them back. However, Jemas was petty and didn’t want to bring Waid back, so he offered Wieringo more money to come back, on his own. Waid said he’d understand if Wieringo accepted.

"OMG! Look what we just discovered that nobody knew about!"

I love how they act like this hasn't all been right there, readily available the whole time for, oh I don't know, anyone claiming to be journalists. Or anyone with a social media account.
