We need an immediate vote from Congress on a War Powers Resolution. Then articles of impeachment.

BREAKING: The Department of Education has ended its directive that attempted to restrict diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in schools nationwide.

This is a victory for academic freedom and education equity.

People can say it’s utopian or dreamy but it’s a fact that you have to believe new things are possible, fundamentally, in order to make them real. You have to make the choice to believe that more than this is possible & not be resigned to this being the way things have to be because it’s not at all.

Getting shown up in the arena of elite impunity by *the British monarchy* is an incredible “America at 250!” achievement

Everyone in the world comes to get married at the NYC Marriage Bureau. Last week, the Mayor stopped by to officiate a few of those ceremonies.

Ending this operation is not enough.

We need justice and accountability. That starts with independent investigations into the murders of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, economic restitution for businesses impacted, abolishing ICE, and the impeachment of Kristi Noem.

We just received the most *obscene* gas bill from PG&E so my husband has forbidden us from using the heater 😂😂😂😩😩😩

It’s already happening

Some of my biggest epiphanies occurred while wandering around Taipei slightly lost, often because I consulted Google Maps and underestimated the distance between things. But that unintentional “white space” ended up being so fertile. There I go again, always dwelling in the in-between.

There is a part of me that thought I was done writing essays & memoir, that the book was it, but all through the trip I jotted down notes & feelings, got emotional about things I recognized, realized I had more to say. Passages from my memoir came back to me with such force, utterly surprising me.

I flew back from Taipei & Hong Kong on Sunday night, went straight to work Monday a.m. & somehow got thru the week on a normal schedule. Altho my body has resumed its routines, I’ve been feeling a kind of psychic jet lag that’s hard to explain, like I’m still trying to process the meaning of my trip

I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.
