this whole mindset reminds me of that ray bradbury quote about us being on this earth in order to fart around. farting around is necessary for creativity and farting around is a human right!!

i guess practice is too inefficient so we’re just doing away with it

if you’ve ever had an idea and pursued it to a conclusion you will have observed how it shifts and morphs into something else along the way, the original seed sprouting and growing differently than you’d imagined at first. it’s good to be surprised by what you’ve grown. the pursuit is the point!!

i do not wish to be out here railing against genAI all the time but it simply bums me out to no end!! it is morally and philosophically bad to outsource human wonder, interpretation, and creativity to a machine that is made out of plagiarism and you will not convince me otherwise

One bright side to being forced to live in an AI slop tornado is now I see my artistic mistakes as incredibly endearing. The human machine of my body made that weird line. My worst day of drawing is completely untouchably better than anything AI will ever produce until the heat death of the universe
