On the event of David Lynch's passing, I just want to highlight how much of a blast Blue Velvet was when it came out. The amount of time that my friends & I spent yelling quotes from this movie at each other could've easily translated into a letter-grade bump-up in every class I was in at the time.
All incurious people have are night market anecdotes, crowd scenes of identical businessmen, Star Wars-esque shots of the legislature in tiered rows, and maybe the Tiananmen Square Rebellion Guy in front of the tank.
