Several plots showing the distribution of neural information about abstract choices and motor actions across the human brain.
Check out our work led by Katrina Quinn, showing that neural representations of abstract choice aren't just due to a requirement to flexibly & rapidly switch between choice-motor mappings. This points to a general role of abstraction in decision-making.

Intro time!
We are the Siegel Lab, located at the @unituebingen.bsky.social and @hih-tuebingen.bsky.social
Our central goal is to investigate how cognition emerges from dynamic interactions across widely distributed neuronal ensemble, combining mainly human MEG and animal electrophysiology.
