If the funeral details are publicly announced and Liam's family ask for privacy then do as they ask.

The day is hard enough as it is.

Be kind, be respectful, be honourable. Don't make anyone feel less by following their emotions.

The people who do go to line the processional route will be expected to behave in a respectful manner. That is my only plea - not that I have any right to do so....

But the eyes of the world will be on our fandom that day. Be respectful.

It got ugly because people have this notion of entitlement. Self absorbed entitlement.

No amount of posts telling people not to go will stop people going. The people posting those are no better or worse at being a fan - you just all have your behaviour compasses set different.

Some fans have acted appalingly online towards Zayn, Harry, Louis and Niall in the aftermath of Liam's death prompting family members to warn the fans to back off.....

It got ugly and it needn't have done.

I'm reading a lot of "there'd better not be...." or "I don't want to see..." posts forcing your wants out there. There will be press photographers there. Of course there will. Liam's death is a big news event in the UK so of course there will be press coverage of his funeral.

It is inevitable that for Liam's funeral there will be people wanting to pay their respects. We actually do it very well.

There will be those who will have a slightly different motivator to going (to catch a glimpse of the other 4) but what matters is behaviour

In England a funeral is a public event unless declared private by the family and they express their wish for people to stay away.

When notable public figures have died, the streets have been lined with mourners along the path the hearse will take. 🧵
