I design knitting patterns for the love of the game. Saleswise, I'm lucky to break even on a given pattern.
The Elkhorn sales have been decent, but this pattern is a huge success to me because someone I love loved the design so much, that he made it himself. Now he absolutely lives in this sweater.
The Elkhorn is named after the creek that runs alongside my parent's home in Kentucky.
I'm fond of walking alongside it during the holidays and visiting the blue heron that lives at the end of the road.
