Trump Repeals DOJ Zero Tolerance Policy for Rogue Gun Dealers The Trump administration's repeal of a zero tolerance policy for rogue gun dealers will threaten US public safety and relations with Mexico.

Brady is committed to identifying and reforming problematic gun dealers to stop the flow of guns into our communities.

We're grateful to have contributed to the ATF's zero-tolerance policy. Thank you @steffeldman.bsky.social for calling attention to how its removal will impact public safety.

Democrats don’t need our own Project 2025. We need a winning ideas agenda. As the policy director for Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign and a senior policy advisor during his presidency, I know how policy agendas are designed and executed.

Read more of my first-ever Substack post here, where I outline how we start building this winning ideas agenda. Please read, like, share, and let me know what you think. Thank you!

So, no, Dems do not need an unpopular, wonky policy plan that caters to the interests of ideological and advocacy groups. To win in 2026 and 2028, Dems need big ideas that convince most Americans that we will rebuild government to make their lives better. 4/

Trump/Project 2025 accurately diagnosed the problem: most Americans do not believe the federal government is making their lives better. But Trump/Project 2025 picked the wrong treatment. People do not want to dismantle the government; they want it to do a better job at improving their lives. 3/

Project 2025 is a plan for dismantling the administrative state. It is wonky and, during the 2024 campaign, it was very unpopular. While he distanced himself from Project 2025 during the election, Trump is governing on this agenda and his approval rate is falling. 2/

As the policy director for Biden’s 2020 campaign & a senior advisor during his presidency, I know how policy agendas are designed & executed. I learned from what we got right and what we got wrong. Now, I'm concerned when I see Dems call for Project 2029, our version of Project 2025. 1/

Congressional Republicans are quietly giving away their ability to stop Trump’s tariffs. It’s crazy! Let me explain.
