The video content in the original 2007 version of TGD was mostly different variations of static and strobing, with very little in terms of definable imagery or even digital glitching. When we brought the concept back for the 2008 Lights In The Sky tour, I gave the static loops a little update, adding more complexity and variety. We also included a couple little easter eggs, like occasional flashes of The Presence from Year Zero, and of course, one frame in one of the clips of the infamous Windows Blue Screen Of Death. This was before camera phones were ubiquitous, so it was quite remarkable that someone in the audience of one of the shows managed to capture that one exact frame flashing on the screen with their digital camera. They posted the photo online and it was quickly passed around without context, eventually ending up as a meme on Reddit ("NINE INCH FAILS") where people thought we'd had an actual computer crash during a NIN show. We had a lot
of technical fuckups during shows over the years, but come on, never a BSoD.
