May the God of hope fill us with all joy and peace

after he had supped

things which had grown old are being made new

carry them in your bosom

By thine Agony and Bloody Sweat;

That it may please thee to bring into the way of truth all such as have erred, and are deceived,

The Lord has put away all your sins

Almighty God, who hast given us grace at this time with one accord to make our common supplication unto thee

there was more business to find out what should be read, than to read it when it was found out.

and dost assure us thereby of thy favor and goodness towards us;

without confusion, without change, without division, without separation

O Lord, our heavenly Father, almighty and everlasting God, who hast safely brought us to the beginning of this day:

We beseech thee, O Lord, pour thy grace into our hearts

among the sundry and manifold changes of the world

but this book and the Bible:

That it may please thee to show thy pity upon all prisoners and captives, the homeless and the hungry, and all who are desolate and oppressed,

they may be lively centers for sound learning, new discovery, and the pursuit of wisdom
