The message people with visual disabilities receive when you don't use alt text is that you aren't interested in access and jobs for all.

But how would a blind or low vision person know that without alt text? Alt-text is bare minimum access.

My understanding is the approval process for most of these projects has different stages which take at minimum 2-3 years. 2 year part, is unchanged with prop 2-4, it would simply eliminate 45 days and take away local leaders ability to negotiate for investment in their local communities

For me it was buried in the letter amidst the boilerplate. Seemed to indicate they were dividing all requests into two different tracks based on complexity and for better or worse mine is complex so it will take longer.

There's space heater gemachs, guest linen gemachs, there's a gemach for mezuzahs, bridal headpiece gemach, shower chairs, tablecloth gemach, serving platters, the lists are endless.

As others have said, totally real. Gemachs can be EXTREMELY niche. I've donated to and utilized a number of them. On the more niche side, for my wedding I utilized a wedding sneaker gemach which loaned out these but cute/comfy white sneakers with platform heels to be worn under a wedding dress.
