• 1, Krem, am Jewish. Members of my immediate family live in Israel. I love Shabbat and baking challah. My friends call me "Rabbi Krem", and I have personal relationships with both Rabbis on-island.
• We are proud co-owners of a Martha's Vineyard business that deeply values its relationships with its partners, vendors, collaborators, and most importantly, its clientele.
• We are a minority-owned (LGBTQ+) operation. Krem is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns.
• Prior to this incident, Good Pierogi had never refused service to anybody.
• We stand against those who harm or seek to harm others as well as those that would defend them.
• Finally, we don't back down to bullies - no matter their size.
@good_pierogi
The level of effort Mr. Dershowitz is investing in this charade has led us to a singular conclusion:
Our handcrafted pierogi, made with love from locally sourced ingredients, are so undeniably delicious, he'll do anything to get his hands on them.

The farmers market vendor Dershowitz keeps crying about even though 3 others refused him service too.
My name is Krem Miskevich. I am a chef, and together with my spouse Lily Rose, we co-own Good Pierogi, an Eastern
European pop up currently operating on
Martha's Vineyard.
The business was born from a desire to connect my Polish heritage with local food growers and producers on-island, and to feed its residents and visitors.
I want to directly address the incident that occurred last Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at the West Tisbury Farmers Market, which has garnered national attention, and more than a few fabricated and fallacious claims about the events and myself.
@good_pierogi
The fuss affects not only me, my partner, and our business, but the other extremely hard-working vendors who come together Wednesdays and
Saturdays to sell their wares from land and sea. The negative impact on them is unfair and I never intended for my decision to cause so much consternation to a community I deeply care about.
The catalyst was our legally justified decision to not sell our pierogi to Alan Dershowitz, a figure recognized locally and nationally.
When he came to our booth, I experienced a surge of emotion. As a chef, I love to share what I cook with the public, regardless of who they are. In this case, what was in the forefront of my mind was the fact that this was the high-profile attorney who represented several sexual predators and abusers including Jeffrey Epstein.
@good_pierog!
I have no desire to argue about the legal system in the
U.S., or one's right to a fair trial. But, I personally know too many sexual abuse survivors. Mr. Dershowitz consciously decided to befriend and defend men who have been accused of abusing and harming women.
The food we make is a labor of love, it's our craft. In our minds and hearts, selling to Alan Dershowitz was the equivalent to supporting his decisions and statements.
It caused me to pause and question my willingness to sell to him and when I did, he began to harass us, misgender me, and film us without our consent.
@good_pierogi
In the days that followed, Mr. Dershowitz chose to execute a public smear campaign.
If not for the traction gained from his one-sided, mythical storyline, we would have remained silent.
However, the continued aggression and threats of groundless litigation have been followed by the distribution of defamatory flyers where we conduct business in an effort to cement further falsehoods. He has also taken to the internet and used the news media to circulate his fiction.
I do not wish to argue with Mr. Dershowitz about Israel.
But, to contextualize his hurtful rant, I think it would be helpful to share a bit about myself and our business:
@good_pierog!
The owners of Good Pierogi, the chefs and vendor Dershowitz has been harassing, just posted a statement about the situation. I’ll post all 6. Last two in my reply.

This guy is really gonna post through every single L he takes for the rest of his life. The best part is that he tried to get local cops to intervene and after awhile they told him "at this point you’re interfering with this business and that is a line we’re not crossing.”

I no longer think that headlines/framing/etc in mainstream news make a first-tier difference in prez elections. (At one time they did. See: James Comey letter Oct 2016.)
But headlines/ framing / etc are tells about the mentality of a news organization.
This is a pretty depressing tell.

In fact, US foreign aid represents some of the most effective humanitarian intervention the world has ever seen. It's also great diplomacy.
Much of it was put in place by GOP presidents, such as Bush's PEPFAR program, which has saved more than 26M lives.

Yesterday's would-be federal funding freeze fiasco was the first true test of the mainstream media's ability to cover the second Trump administration. It was an embarrassing failure. Adapt or die. Or, at the very least, die with some dignity.

Mr. Zuckerberg was amenable. He signaled to Mr. Miller and his colleagues, including other senior Trump advisers, that he would do nothing to obstruct the Trump agenda, according to three people with knowledge of the meeting, who asked for anonymity to discuss a private conversation. Mr. Zuckerberg said he would instead focus solely on building tech products.
Mr. Zuckerberg blamed his former chief operating officer, Sheryl Sandberg, for Facebook’s culture, according to one of the people with knowledge of the meeting. He said new guidelines and a series of layoffs amounted to a reset and that more changes were coming.

Excerpt from an August 2020 BuzzFeed News story that reads:
On July 22, a Facebook employee posted a message to the company’s internal misinformation policy group noting that some misinformation strikes against Breitbart had been cleared by someone at Facebook seemingly acting on the publication's behalf.
“A Breitbart escalation marked ‘urgent: end of day’ was resolved on the same day, with all misinformation strikes against Breitbart’s page and against their domain cleared without explanation,” the employee wrote.
The same employee said a partly false rating applied to an Instagram post from Charlie Kirk was flagged for “priority” escalation by Joel Kaplan, the company’s vice president of global public policy. Kaplan once served in George W. Bush’s administration and drew criticism for publicly supporting Brett Kavanaugh’s controversial nomination to the Supreme Court.
In his video, Zuckerberg said "fact-checkers have just been too politically biased."
In reality, Facebook's own executives, namely Joel Kaplan, had been biased toward removing penalties from right-wing publishers.

But in its panicked retreat from the system it spent years building, Meta may now be putting billions of users at risk. Just because Meta deleted that line about hateful speech causing offline violence doesn't mean it isn't true. And now the company has all but declared open season on immigrants, transgender people and whatever other targets that Trump and his allies find useful in their fascist project.
"I can't tell you how much harm comes from non-illegal but harmful content," a longtime former trust and safety employee at the company told me. The classifiers that the company is now switching off meaningfully reduced the spread of hate movements on Meta's platforms, they said. "This is not the climate change debate, or pro-life vs. pro-choice. This is degrading, horrible content that leads to violence and that has the intent to harm other people."
I talked to 10 current and former Meta employees about the company's surrender to the right on speech issues. All were upset. One person called the changes "a precursor to genocide" www.platformer.news/meta-fact-ch...
