Good idea! I put some chili crisp on it last night, but didn’t think of sour cream or croutons. You’re a soup genius! Merci!

07.03.2026 06:21 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0Hahaha I remain neutral, I do not describe it as scuzzbucketry, I simply smile and occasionally ask him to shave
07.03.2026 05:35 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Oh hell yeah! He’s dying to go to the pyramid and stay in the hotel there (which will make a fun trip someday, once the long American nightmare is over)
07.03.2026 05:34 — 👍 5 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I did actually suggest that, but certain members of my household wish to use it for easy weekday lunches for the foreseeable future. To be fair, it does taste really good — it just looks whack as hell.

07.03.2026 05:21 — 👍 131 🔁 3 💬 18 📌 1Anyway, even though I made 1.5 times the recipe to use up extra coconut milk I had from last week’s butter chicken project, it all came to under $10. Now we will have green slop soup leftovers available for the next week and a half! (My childhood nightmare)
07.03.2026 05:10 — 👍 34 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Made lentil soup in the slow cooker yesterday. For some reason the grocery store was completely out of red lentils, so I used green lentils and just cooked it for a bit longer. It tasted really good but between the lentils and the spinach, it kinda looked like dystopian green slop. Yum!

Such a gorgeous film, but I’ll probably never be able to watch it again haha. And I knew what I was signing up for because I’d read the book!

Saw Hamnet with my mom this week & towards the end of the movie she wordlessly passed me a tissue because we were both silently weeping. I read the book in the early pandemic days & the movie was just as devastating.
But also I think this video of the cast dancing to Rihanna might have healed me.
Right? Living the dream!

Also wildly self-indulgent: the patio at the place where we stayed in Cordoba, where I would drink wine and read my little book every night before bed (please, God, send me back to Spain soon)

I’m so tired of this effing weather that I’ve been (self-indulgently) looking at photos of our trip to Spain last fall. Anyway, here are a few of my favs of 15yo: giggling over dinner on the first night while super jet lagged, entering the Italica colosseum, thumbs up for Alhambra, alchemy museum
