I really want to love this game but unfortunately it's unplayable or at least not enjoyable on the Switch 2 ๐Ÿ˜” If I had known, I would have bought it on Steam. Unfortunately there was no Switch/Switch2 trailer as far as I know (only Xbox which looks fantastic)

Pulled the trigger and bought Fruitbus on Switch 2. Unfortunately it doesn't look good :/ Such a beautiful game & story but the graphics are low and rough. Everytime you move just a little, lots of objects (like bushes, trees) are rendered. It's just too noisy. I hope there will be a Switch 2 Update

Vector2 exports aren't that complicated but somehow I never got familiar with these ๐Ÿ˜… That's why I prefer an enum export with UP, RIGHT, DOWN, LEFT.

I second cobwebs. Maybe some chains on the walls? Rusty lockers, cracks on the walls, vents, exit signs, security cameras

No problem! So I guess if I use Godot instead of RPG Maker I have to add some more tiles in order to get autotile working. But at least I know that I'm not just too dump to understand ๐Ÿ˜„ So thanks

Is this what autotile is about? But still, wouldn't it need more than 4 tiles? More like 6? If anyone has an explanation or maybe a tutorial for Godot I would be very grateful ๐Ÿ™ˆ Because I would love to use the Omega Modern Pack of @finalbossblues.itch.io

There is one thing I still don't get in gamedev...

I bought several asset packs. There is let's say a carpet floor. It includes 4 tiles (64x64). I can create a square carpet with this but nothing else. Same with walls, water, etc.
It has to be on ME, because so many asset packs do this.

I just recently learned how to use Tweens in Godot. I often use it in combination with fading in/out nodes via the modulate property. What I didn't know is that you can use sub properties like the alpha value of the modulate property.

So you can just write "modulate:a" ๐Ÿคฏ

So if I had to change the highlight color, I wouldn't have to change every text in the game. I would simply change the HIGHLIGHT_COLOR constant in my Utils script. BOOM! DONE! ๐Ÿคฏ

I didn't know that custom BBCode effects in Godot are pretty easy to implement oO

All that it takes is a script extending RichTextEffect. Here is an example script, that prints the text between [highlight][/highlight] in a color I set in an autoload "Utils" script.

Same for me. I started with PhaserJS and it had nothing. Switching to Godot I have a working walkable 2DPlayer class, ready UI elements, text animations ๐Ÿ˜ฑ it's crazy!

Neat! How does this specific example work exactly?

Does it mean the Dictionary can contain ints and bools?
{ "0": 1, "1": false, "2": true, "3": 101 }

Or is it like the indices are ints and the values are bools?
{ย 0: true, 1: false, 2: true }
