Anyway, do not give in to the siren call of velvet yarn. Yes, it is super soft and I would kill for a sweater made out of it, but that stuff is the devil incarnate.

So, little update to my knitting side quest. Turns out I was trying to use a type of yarn that is so finicky that even experienced knitters give up on it and throw it in the trash. Traded it in for basic bitch yarn and omg I don't actually suck 😭

Before you subscribe to a block list for people who don't use alt text, seriously examine the account of the person curating the list. Do they post positively about AI generated materials? Accessibility is important, but beware those using it as a disingenuous excuse to bully artists into making it easier for malicious people to steal and profit from their hard work. For screenshots of articles or tweets or pure text it makes sense, but why would they be pushing so hard for alt text on something whose appeal is almost entirely visual anyway?
