As a Boston-area ticket-holder to their upcoming show, I am grateful that the surviving members are keeping Mark Sandman's legacy and memory alive. Within the hyper-local Boston scene he loomed large as a friend & mentor to many, many people. Plus, "Cure For Pain" is a top-10 all timer album for me.

I like the band Morphine, and I was lucky enough to see them live at H.O.R.D.E. fest in like '98.
I had no idea who they were, and they were amazing. Had no idea how lucky I had it until he passed.

I recommend the band Morphine. They were a 90’s indie/dark Jazz band that really got overshadowed during the grunge years. Start with Cure for Pain. It’s probably my favorite album of all time.
