Agreed, his ties to Harper were an early red flag. His first cabinet was more like a matadors cape, big, red, and waving. Canada ran towards it and now we're meeting the blade on the other side.

I've got bad news for KP and the rest of crew. You joined the debate the moment you decided to audition for a part or apply for a position. If you didn't want to be involved you shouldn't have gotten involved.

According to the government, Canada can afford to spend billions of dollars on military spending and grants for Ukraine, but can't even afford to spare a few words for Palestine. It's clear where Carney's priorities are, they're not with the people, but with the war machine.

The movement needs all ppl. It can take a little time & effort to find the right niche for you, but it's out there. Start small, say hi to your neighbours & let them know they're can knock if they ever need to borrow some eggs. Small acts build & strengthen communities, organizing can come later.

There's many risks but I doubt inbreeding is in the top 50. I've got a lot of issues with Albertan politics but there's no need to perpetuate the stereotype of poor, rural people being inbred. The policy is racist. Let's focus on that.

Just finished How to Blow Up a Pipeline. Enjoyed the mix of academic theory and personal experience. His use of case studies and allegory would make this a good read for a general audience if there were fewer $10 words. I'd give it 4 out of 5 💣💣💣💣

Just started the audio book for How to Blow Up a Pipeline. Glad Malm dispels the myths of historical activists only using pacifist tactics. Big change requires many, varied tactics, and pretending otherwise only helps our oppressors.

I can't believe that headline wasn't published by The Beaverton. How is this real?!

A couple of years ago, I had the privilege of spending a 2 months studying in Haida Gwaii. I arrived thinking I knew a fair amount about community (I definitely thought and talked about it a lot). I left realizing that my understanding of community was so shallow it was almost a different thing.

I feel the same. I've found learning from Indigenous peoples to be healing as it helps me see new ways of doing that aren't built on the systems of domination that whiteness and Western culture are.
