Our 5th IMPACT: Emerging Leaders Fellowship, in partnership with WUJS, has officially concluded.

Four months of learning, connection and engagement with fellows from around the world—all stepping up and ready to #MakeAnImpact during an especially tough time for Jewish students.

We are appalled by the attack on the Jewish primary school Beth Loubavitch–Beth’Hannah in Paris. Windows were smashed, surveillance equipment was damaged and the school’s plaque was removed.

Attacks on Jewish institutions—especially schools—must be met with zero tolerance.

While we acknowledge the removal of this absurd map and misleading content, a trusted educational platform should never have erased the world’s only Jewish state in the first place.

Britannica and similar platforms have a responsibility to tell the truth—not mislead the students who rely on them.

Only after the issue became public—and following justified pushback from UK Lawyers For Israel—did Britannica restore the map to accurately reflect Israel’s existence and the Jewish people’s historical and indigenous connections to the land.

Encyclopaedia Britannica recently published an outrageous map on its Britannica Kids website that effectively erased the State of Israel—replacing “Israel” with the word “Palestine.”

No one who traffics in such anti-Jewish bigotry should hold a position of public trust—especially a law enforcement officer.

Bovino Is Said to Have Mocked Prosecutor’s Jewish Faith on Call With Lawyers

We forcefully condemn Greg Bovino’s reported anti-Semitic mockery of Minnesota U.S. Attorney Daniel Rosen’s Jewish faith on a telephone call with prosecutors—sneering at Rosen’s Shabbat observance and using “chosen people” in a derisive, contemptuous way.

Feb. 1 marked 24 years since Jewish-American journalist Daniel Pearl was brutally murdered by Islamic terrorists in Pakistan.

His last words were: “My father is Jewish. My mother is Jewish. I am Jewish.”

May we all live with that same pride and courage, and may his memory forever be a blessing.

Harvard professor with history of anti-Israel bias elected to Pulitzer Prize Board Vijay Iyer’s appointment “suggests that those who write fairly about Israel will be marginalized,” Daniel Mariaschin, of B’nai B’rith, told JNS.

“Recognition” powerfully amplifies many of these stories of courage and moral clarity that went unacknowledged for far too long.

We are grateful for their partnership and for their commitment to preserving this essential part of Holocaust memory.

For more than two decades, the B’nai B’rith World Center–Jerusalem, led by our colleague Alan Schneider, has honored the extraordinary heroism of Jews who rescued fellow Jews during the Holocaust through the Jewish Rescuers Citation.

Thank you to producer Abraham Huli and director Shoshi Ben Hamo, with whom we were proud to partner for a special screening of “Recognition” in observance of International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Again and again, we have warned that anti-Jewish rhetoric, the constant demonization of Israel, efforts aimed at delegitimizing the Jewish state and the repeated dehumanization of Jews and Israelis would lead to more attacks on Jewish communities. That warning has proven tragically accurate.

This is the grim reality Jewish New Yorkers are now forced to live with—and it is the latest in a disturbing surge of anti-Semitic violence against Jews across the United States and around the world. This hatred must be confronted clearly and decisively, before it escalates further.

We stand in full solidarity with the Chabad community and all Jewish New Yorkers—members of the largest Jewish population outside of Israel—who are increasingly being forced to fear for their safety in the places they live, worship and gather.

We forcefully condemn and are horrified by the car ramming attack targeting the Chabad-Lubavitch World Headquarters in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

We are grateful that no one was injured, and we thank the NYPD for swiftly apprehending the perpetrator.

We remain committed to empowering the next generation of Jewish leaders. Join us in our mission to #MAKEANIMPACT.

Together, we explored the roots of extremism and how anti-Zionism and anti-Semitism manifest today. On this day of remembrance, the conversation reinforced our commitment to “Never Again” by empowering leaders to combat hate against the Jewish community. 🛡️✨
