Shock as tagged Golden Eagle goes missing Conservationists and police are appealing for information after a satellite-tagged Golden Eagle disappeared in southern Scotland. According to police, the eagle's tag has displayed suspicious patterns and data reports, and officers are concerned the bird may have come to harm between Wednesday 27 August and Friday 29 August 2025. The bird's partner, an untagged female eagle, has also disappeared.
