so like when "overdiagnosis" moral panics come up I'm always looking at that in the context that some people straight up don't believe you can have real problems if you are also sort of capable in some contexts

when i was like 10 years old a teacher recommended having me see a specialist in autism/adhd because she noticed i spent basically every class staring out the window not paying attention. unfortunately that specialist just tested cognitive skills and said "very smart kid, no problems here"

So let's look at the rhetorical similarity with a transphobic canard used by GC ideologues, "We're all non-binary".

It's a bit rooted in truth, but it's deployed to say that deviation that is not "extreme enough" is meaningless. Effectively, it insists on a rigid medicalized diagnostic criteria.

Probably would work, but I'll say that when this spray thing works as intended it works REALLY well. Bubbles the paint off in big flakes you can practically just wipe away. It's just that the stuff that's left is really tough.

The paint is so thick and so stubborn that while following the instructions perfectly, there's STILL big chunks of paint refusing to let go
